Miniature Cattle Breeder

Named for the creek that runs through our property, Oil Well Branch is a small 40 acre farm, located in the beautiful rural community of Metcalfe County Kentucky. We sell and breed micro and miniature Highlands and Highland crosses. 

 

We started our mini Highland herd in January 2026 with bred cows from the wellknown breeder "A Peculiar Farm" out of Missouri. Each Highland and HighPark cow was registered and bred by a registered micro or miniature chondro positive bull from "A Peculiar Farm."  Our silver chondro+ micro bull is a son of APF Drax and currently stands 34" at two years old.  Several of his calves should be on the ground by late 2026 and he will be the main herd sire moving forward into 2027 and beyond.  Silver babies are on the way!
