Like a bolt of lightning, little Bolt seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Sierra had a record quick birth in the sweltering heat. He is stout, compact, fluffy and basically a perfect Dun baby. His dam and sire were both bred by A Peculiar Farm. His sire is APF Tar - a naturally small non-chondro 100% Highland bull standing 40" at 5 years. His grandsire was APF Loki - 42" at 5 years old. Both of his parents are registered as miniature highlands with IMCBR, as are his grandparents. With his perfect conformation, small genetics and highly desirable color, Bolt is an outstanding choice for those looking for a naturally small bull without chondro. Plus he's as sweet and gentle as they come. He'll make an excellent sire for someone looking to bring gentle temperament and small genetics to their herd. And he'll make a handsome statement on any property. This beautiful boy will be ready to go at weaning.

Meet Peanut. This bundle of cuteness currently stands 32" at the hip so she's right on track to stay a compact miniature. This sweet, adorable girl is a beautiful dark red with black highlights and blonde tips. She has perfect conformation and is loaded with personality. UC Davis confirms she has double E+/E+ wild gene(!) so this little girl has what it takes to produce almost any color as well as brindle. (She may become even more of a pronounced brindle as she matures.) She's a great opportunity to add diversity and color to any program. She has a winning disposition to boot. She has come a long way in a short amount of time in her socialization. She stands ready to be haltered and is coming along really well in her lead training. She's easy to bathe and loves to be brushed. With continued handling, this little girl will be great for children, photoshoots, petting zoo, agritourism etc. Her dam was bred by Webb Cattle Co. and her sire came from Elaine Holt's farm in MO. We snapped up Peanut for our own breeding program before knowing her chondro status but sadly with our chondro + bull we won't be able to keep her.

More about our calves...
Our calves start their socialization even before weaning while in the maternity pasture where we interact with them daily but once calves begin weaning they live amongst the rest of our farm family in the "residential" pasture. Here they live with our two herd guardian dogs (Joe and Dixie), chickens, turkeys, our mini donkey, Tater, and our two permanent pasture puppies (mini Jersey steers) - Boo and Rocky. This tame animal family becomes their "herd" and they quickly learn and adapt to life as a pet. With the examples of their mini moo friends Rocky and Boo, and the rest of the gang, they quickly drop the "stranger danger" instinct and learn to enjoy life with humans (and other creatures.) They are part of our family until they become part of yours. They experience a myriad of farm sights and sounds and once they leave our farm they are halter trained, experienced with grooming, friendly, calm, and confident and ready to be part of their new family. Every calf comes with a health certificate from our local vet.
Bringing home and caring for your new miniature pasture pet should be a pleasure and stress-free. We do our best to make this an easy transition for you and your calf with a lot of prep work beforehand.
If you need help arranging for transportation, we can help you with recommendations and/or make all of the arrangements for you. However, delivery fee will be between you and the carrier.
