Boomer - Hereford Cross Bull Calf

Boomer was born on July 4th, 2025.  He is a SWEETHEART.    He was sired by Clint, our 37" mini Hereford bull and his dam is Molly, our 40" Hereford cross cow.  Boomer currently stands 32" at the hip.  He is heterozygous polled.  He is halter trained, socialized, and ready for his new home.  He would make an excellent pet or sire for a homestead looking for a small, gentle, easy-to-handle bull.  Update:  Boomer was purchased to be the sire for a few mini Jerseys on a small homestead in Indiana.

RETAINED
Mandy - Midsize Pineywoods Cross Heifer

Gorgeous Mandy is our first calf out of our small-framed mini (41") Pineywoods cow.  She was born 3/9/26.  She has beautiful White Park and roan markings. She has a spunky, curious, friendly personality at only a week old.  Already she comes to us and lets us pet her while mama calmly looks on. She's going to be a keeper for our future breeding program.

Coming Soon

Check back often for updates to our available calves.  We are expecting 8 more calves in 2026.

More about our calves...

Our calves start their socialization period even before weaning while in the maternity pasture where we interact with them daily but once calves begin weaning they live amongst the rest of our farm family in the "residential" pasture.  Here they interact with our two herd guardian dogs (Joe and Dixie), chickens, turkeys, our donkey, Tater, and our two personal pet minimoos (mini Jersey steers) - Boo and Rocky.  They are part of our family until they become part of yours.  They experience a myriad of farm sights and sounds and once they leave our farm they are halter trained, experienced with grooming, friendly, calm, and confident and ready to be part of their new family.  Every calf comes with a health certificate from our local vet.

Bringing home and caring for your new miniature pasture pet should be a pleasure and stress-free. We do our best to make this an easy transition for you and your calf with a lot of prep work beforehand.

If you need help arranging for transportation, we can help you with recommendations and/or make all of the arrangements for you. However, delivery fee will be between you and the carrier.

We absolutely encourage Facetime visits.  Even better, if you’re local (or not), and want to visit us at the farm here in Kentucky, just give us a call!

Thank you for considering Oil Well Branch Farm for your specialty bovine.
