Hurricane "Cane" - Silver micro Highland bull

Hurricane is a 4th generation bull out of A Peculiar Farm's herd. He's a son of APF Drax (37") and grandson of APF Groot (38"). He's going to be the main herd sire here at OWB. Though still young, Hurricane is showing himself to be an excellent herd sire. He's already bred several of our cows who are due later this year (2026.) He was born with a calm, gentle and personable temperament. He's easy to halter. He'll come to you out in pasture, no treats required, just to get his scratches. He's small yet perfectly proportioned, stocky and muscular with that quintessential blocky Highland head. His first babies are expected to hit the ground in Oct 2026. At 28 mos old and 34.5" he is holding his micro status but we'll be confirming his height at 3 years old.

We acquired Beth from a small farm in South Carolina. She was a pet, halter trained, and raised around kids. We felt very fortunate to get her. This sweet Highland girl is loaded with hair even in summer.

APF Elsa is our oldest dam and she carries herself like the matriarch that she is. Elsa is by far the herd leader but she does it with a calm and kindly authority. She's also a very beautiful cow and somehow it seems like she knows it.

Ruby - Micro Western Heritage White Park

We acquired Ruby from Pillard's Miniatures out of Iowa. She comes from a closed herd and a long bloodline of micro Western Heritage cattle. It's very cute to see her fearlessly wiggle her way into the trough between her Highland herdmates. (It's possible they think she's a calf!) We're excited to pair her with Cane for some micro Highpark babies.
Olga - Yellow Mini Highland

APF Olga is our chill babe with adorable ear hair for days. Nothing seems to get her too bent out of shape. She also has beautiful light blue eyes that complement her strawberry blonde coat.

We purchased Carmen from a farm in TN. We love this girl's perfect Panda markings, her dense double-layered coat and thick, stocky build. She is naturally miniature with perfect conformation. She is bred by Cane and due in October.

We bought Freckles from a small farm in TN. We chose to buy Freckles for a few reasons: her naturally miniature size, her breed (Pineywoods are known for being extremely hardy and heat tolerant), she was halter trained and had a calm, approachable temperament, and last but not least her pretty markings. We love her black and white patches. She has a lovely feminine build and is just an all around beautiful cow.

We purchased Molly also out of TN from a small young family who had bought her as a calf and raised her as a pet. Their plans to move to a larger property fell through and so they decided to part ways with Molly so she could graze and have more room. Molly is a sweet girl, naturally small with a broad, beautifully marked face. She is bred by Cane and due in December.

Pearle is so tiny!!! She's our beautiful little red-tipped white park girl we acquired from Pillard's Miniatures. She comes from a closed herd and a long bloodline of Western Heritage micro cattle. She is the result of 20 years of selective breeding for naturally small size without the use of chondro.
Mandy - mini Pineywoods Cross Heifer

This roan white park beauty is our first calf out of our mini (41") Pineywoods cow. They don't get any more calm, sweet and gentle than this little girl. She has the perfect temperament for the cows we are seeking to breed. It will be years in the making but we can hardly wait to see the results of her pairing with Cane.
